No. Unlike limited 1-way paging systems, CarinaPoint™ devices utilize full 2-way communication for maximum coverage, reliability, and validation of services.
Is the device pre-programmed with the cellular signal?
We have a patented technology that allows the unit to directly access the digital cellular control channel for communications.
Can you use any computer for access?
Any internet-enabled computer operating on Windows XP or 2000 with IE 6.0 can access the CarinaXchange™ data center.
What about backend software?
CarinaXchange™ is the true brain behind the hardware. It is designed to fully support all Smart Grid applications with database-driven intelligence and reporting.
What is the annual maintenance fee for on-site servers?
Providers may choose to host their own CarinaXchange™ servers on-site. Typically maintenance costs represent 15% of initial software costs.
