Can we have a server on-site?
Yes, we can provide you with the server and software to operate completely independently from the internet. Additional costs are involved to accommodate this arrangement.
If we choose to host a server on-site, what does it cost?
The on-site costs depend on the size of the deployment and the specific requirements of your network administrator.
At what point should I have an on-site server?
There is no requirement or limitation which drives the decision to be on-site. That is strictly a determination made by the utility based on internal policies.
What happens when a unit fails?
If the unit fails to operate, simply contact Carina Technology and we will replace the unit. No questions asked.
How long does the battery last?
Batteries are designed to last about 10 years.
What is the installation process?
The installation is similar to installing an electric meter and should take approximately 10 minutes.
Can I manually disconnect service if cellular towers are down?
Yes, with our IT software, you can override cellular actions. However, training on the IT software would be required.
