Carina Technology, Inc. (CTI) deploys its remote terminal units (RTUs) in two basic configurations, collar and box. All products are based around a radio capable of data transmission on the cellular control channel, a high gain antenna, a programmable microcontroller, input/output interface boards, and a nickel metal hydride battery pack for backup. All units have an RJ-11 communication connector which allows initial setup and programming changes. The AMD also has a 200 amp latching relay for connect/disconnect of service.

Collar products are actually meter socket adapters and will install into 200 amp 2S single phase meter sockets.

The box products are NEMA 4 with hinged, lockable lids.
